Third-Party Comments

Since 2010 the Urshan Graduate School of Theology has been a member of and has been accredited by The Association of Theological Schools (ATS).  In addition to UGST’s professional accreditation, the Graduate School is now seeking regional accreditation  with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is seeking Third-Party Comments as part of the Candidacy process as indicated below.  (See the Accreditation and Endorsements web page for more information on ATS.)

Urshan College and Urshan Graduate School of Theology are seeking comments from the public in preparation for an evaluation site visit by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the regional accrediting agency from which the College and Graduate School of Theology are seeking candidacy. The Urshan System (Urshan College and Urshan Graduate School of Theology) currently holds no status with the Higher Learning Commission. Urshan has initiated the process of seeking candidate status with the Higher Learning Commission. The Commission will conduct a comprehensive evaluation on Dec. 4-5, 2017, to determine whether Urshan College and Urshan Graduate School of Theology should be awarded candidacy. The team’s recommendation is subject to additional levels of Commission review and decision-making. Therefore, no further information will be provided until the Commission’s Board of Trustees makes a final decision on the award of candidacy. The award of candidacy does not assure the eventual award of accreditation.
